What is DamTour . . .

Tour Rider Pictures and Dams

It is 20 "Dam" places to ride your motorcycle. It is a self guided motorcycle tour of 20 "Dams" in the western US and Canada. The dam tour features 16 beautiful motorcycle friendly riding destinations in Oregon and Washington (8 each) and four bonus dams in adjacent states, and Canada.

Set Your Own Pace . . .

Enjoy riding to the dam destinations at your own pace throughout the season.

How Long Do You Have . . .

The DamTour riding season is March 1st through September 30th.

How Does It Work . . .

At each stop on the tour just take a picture of your bike with your placard visibly placed on the bike. Then send your photo(s) to  "DT Rider" or mail in your photos to be recorded and posted to our tour album. Each participant has the opportunity to earn random awards as well as an "All Twenty" trophy, and a Oregon and Washington pin for visiting all "eight" dams in those states. This is an annual event and we will be adding new options and surprises as we go along, so be sure to check in from time to time.

  What you get for the $20 Registration Fee:
  • A 10% discount to all DamTour Riders from
    participating sponsors.
  • Your own numbered placard for your "dam" photos.
  • A web site to post your progress and plan rides.
  • Go to all 8 Washington dams and get the Washington pin.

  • An Annual picnic get together (date to be announced later).
