WAC Bennett Dam is on the Peace River and creates Williston Lake. It is located about 12 miles west of Hudson's Hope, B.C. Williston Lake stretches over 140 miles in the Rocky Mountain Trench. This means you will be riding in the RM Trenches, and it is way north... so you may think twice before heading out in the spring.
WAC Bennett dam is one of the largest earth filled dam in the world. It is so large they offer scheduled underground tours by bus, in the powerhouse 500 feet below ground.
