French Canyon creates an irrigation reservoir on Cowiche Creek near Tieton, Washington. Tieton is just 6 miles above Naches, Washington at over 2000 feet elevation, and it happens quickly as you wind up the hill. Often in heavy winds. The last 350 yards to the dam is on a doable gravel road named French Road. But photos can be taken at the dead end sign shown at right.
Water from a diversion dam on the Tieton River also flows into this reservoir.
