Lower Granite Dam is located on the Snake River about 30 miles downstream from Clarkston Washington. Paved road access to the dam from the south is VIA Hwy 12, about 20 miles west of Clarkston. There is another paved road access from the north VIA Hwy 194 through Almota Washington. Or, from state highway 127 - turn east just south of the Snake River on Lower Deadman Creek Road. Proceed 35 miles following the directional signs to Lower Granite Dam.
Do not count on having dam crossing privileges, so plan your route accordingly. It very well could be closed. There is a number on the Corps of Eng site to call about crossing.
