Horn Rapids Dam

Horn Rapids Dam is about 9 miles northwest of the Tri-Cities, off Hwy 240, near the Hwy 225 Junction. The Hanford Reservation borders that bend of the river and the dam.

Horn Rapids Dam is a low-head irrigation dam and is not used for power generation, but to hold back the Yakima River to fill the irrigation canals.
