WL Jess Dam, also called Lost Creek Dam, creates Lost Creek Reservoir on the mighty Rogue River not far from its headwaters at Crater Lake Oregon. There are many locations to get nice pictures of the dam along with your bike, but the best location is on the northwest side at the water intake .Don't be fooled by the fish hatchery weir dam at the bottom as being the right dam.
If you are planning an overnight stay nearby, try The Edgewater Inn at Shady cove. Also try the Mexican restaurant just across the river. For a great ride into the area try the Trail-Tiller Highway (Hwy 227) from Canyonville to Shady Cove.
