Kerr Dam is located at River Mile 72 of the Flathead River at the end of Flathead Lake about 8 miles southwest of Polson, Montana. The Kerr Dam and Hydroelectric Project is located inside the boundaries of the Flathead Indian Reservation. The last `1/2 mile is gravel, but you can take your photo at the sign.
Concrete arch-type dam stands at 204 ft. high, which is 54 ft. higher than Niagara Falls. A 1,000 foot boardwalk takes you down, right above the falls, where you can enjoy an amazing view of the canyon! In the spring and early summer, the water fall is fantastic. Picnicking, white-water rafting, fishing, vista overlook. Tours are by appointment. I picked this dam, hope you enjoy it as much as I did."C"
