marker 7 ~ North Dam ~ WA ~  335 mi from PDX - 227 mi Sea-Tac.

North Dam is located 2 miles southwest of Grand Coulee Dam just off Hwy 2, at a small town called Electric City. North Dam is one of two low earth-fill dams (the other is Dry Falls Dam), that keep the water in the Grand Coulee, thus creating the reservoir named Banks Lake. Water is actually pumped from lake Roosevelt and deposited into the Upper Grand Coulee above and to the west of the this dam.
