Pit #3 Dam is one of seven dams on the Pit River and forms Lake Britton. It is about 10 miles north of Burney California. The Dam is also a bridge over the Pit River, but is currently under construction at the powerhouse so access across the dam is closed. Check out the forum for rider posts about this dam.
PG&E owns 21 of the 22 miles of shoreline. The remaining mile of the shoreline lies within McArthur-Burney Falls State Park.
