marker 4 ~ Roza Diversion Dam ~ WA ~  198 mi from PDX - 132 mi Sea-Tac.

The Roza Diversion Dam, located 10 miles north of Yakima, diverts water from the Yakima River. The dam is a concrete weir, movable crest structure, 486 feet long and 67 feet high. It lies in the scenic Yakima River Canyon, 21 miles south of Ellensburg, Washington, which cuts through massive basalt cliffs and rolling desert hills. This canyon has been designated as a state scenic route and offers excellent wildlife viewing.

The dam can be viewed from the Hwy above the dam, but also has a road down to the dam that was hard packed dirt(some gravel) when last there.
