Rye Patch Dam

Rye Patch is located 22 miles north of Lovelock on Interstate 80.

Rye Patch Dam is an earth-filled dam with a concrete spillway, and lies within a valley cut by the Humboldt River. The Humbolt River is the primary source of water for the Rye Patch Reservoir. It flows from melting snow off the Ruby Mountains southeast of Elko, Nevada and meanders approximately 265 miles before reaching the Humboldt Sink southeast of Lovelock.
