marker 1 ~ Silverton Dam ~ OR ~  46 mi from PDX - 220 mi Sea-Tac.

The Silverton Dam on Silver Creek, also holds water from Abiqua Creek via a diversion dam for the city of Silverton. Silverton Dam is located 2.5 miles southeast of Silverton, out Route 214. Continue up the road to check out Silver Falls State park, and Silver Falls.

The construction of the dam on Silver Creek, was completed in 1974 and is owned by the City of Silverton. It is an earth-filled dam with a 120- foot concrete chute spillway.
