Hwy 101 splits Tahkenitch Dam from its lake, and both sit along side the Highway. Located just north of Gardiner, Oregon on the edge of the Oreogn Dunes National Recreation Area. This reservoir was created by International Paper to supply water for its mill in Gardiner. The lake is on the east side of Hwy 101, but the dam is actually on the west side. You can get a picture of your bike - from the pavement in front the locked gate with the dam in the background.
